    jive

    YES.

    There's this song by Graham Central Station called "Tell Me What It Is" with a line that refers to playing in a jive-ass band. Based on that, I've been known to use the terms "jive" or "jive ass," off and on.

    I'm a fan of most phrases that employ "ass" as a modifier, as in: That's some good-ass pizza.

    ________ -ASS goes with almost everythang.

    BOSS. This is an early sixties term for "great" that HAS to make a comeback, and it may as well start with me. "Steve Scipio played some BOSS bass patterns on those Cymande LP's."

    Its funny thinking about the grandkids of this generation thinking of something like 'ass' as some funky slang that old people use, hence corny and square

    My best friend made me a bet in middle school...or maybe at the beginning of high school that calling someone "young" would be as popular as "son" or something of the sort.

    So, my question to all of you is, have you ever heard it used that way?

    Be honest, but if I'm wrong, my Living Color cassette tape will soon have a new home.

    I'd like to hear "fantastic" used a bit more often.

    Actually nevermind, that might dilute the meaning, because if someone takes the care in using that word now you KNOW they mean it.

  • Do people still answer the phone with, "Peace!" ?

    No, but my old ass still says Peace when I hang up. Instead of sayin...ONE.
    get with the times, gramps!

    I feel the same way about brilliant; way overused at least overseas.

    Nachos = Coke

    Naga / Naga fish = substitute for the other n word

    Flava as in "that track has mad flava, b"

    b = dude

    the dragon = bad breath

    and how!

    Handle/Handlestatus (very popular still with my bboy crew) = Handle your business playa.

    the suffix -status and stat; Ie: Weakstatus, handlestatus

    Blotto/zozzled = drunkass

    Popeye = a hot head

    - spidey
