Donuts...On Headphones!!!

damn. you can really appreciate the subtle touches throughout a song. alot of cats say he just loops up a bar and that its sloppy, but no two bars are the same. theres always some little thing going on.i highly recommend Donuts and some headphones. maybe a little pot if thats your thing.

    Definitely some off the wall shit. Has some nice touches.

    Yeah my thoughts exactly. I love dilla but he's waaaay too all over the place with this one. Some nice moments for sure, but just too much randomness in between. I think he's been hanging with Madlib too much...

    Exactly, all the vocal-sampling sounds alot like madlib.

    I'm looking forward to his LP on BBE, that will probably be better

    i think dilla worked in a similar fashion that madlib does most of the times. mpc-in-a-hospitalbed-style. but it sure sound ALOT like madlib. really just 3-4 tracks on it that are banging. i'm cheering for The Shining.
