shit just got more fucked up. my roomate just walked into my room and basically denied that they hooked up, when i know for a fact due to certain aural cues that they did.

friends lying to friends? what the fuck is that?

it's rather obvious she knows you have a crush on her, and she's trying to spare your feelings. She put him up to it, dudes are too stupid to go through the trouble of such a charade.

Where is the record related content in this post? This seems like a bad young adult film plot.

    BAN

The record-related question is: What record would you listen to to drown out the sex sounds of your best friend kickin' it hard to your roomie?

    My choice:

    "Another Bites the Dust."

    "My Best Friend's Girl"

Madonna "This Used To Be My Playground"

Seriously, denying it is pretty shady. I mean, is the dude trying to act like they just cuddled all night?

At the end of the day dude, you don't "own" her or your friend. It sounds to me like you got feelings for her that extend more than just a "close" friend. If that's your boy, you should be happy he hooked up with such a great chick. nahmean? Rather her be with one of your friends than some random scumbag...

    peace.

p.s. He told a white-lie cuz they both probably had a talk after they did the whoopee, and knew that you'd probably react mad over-protective. Don't take that shit too serious hommie...

  • It's a "laugh and the world laughs with you" kinda deal. When you're single, everybody else is hooking up. When you have a lover, the rest of the world is one big stag party.

yeah that shits true i hate that shit. i dont wanna get too personal on here, but i just had some bugged shit happen with a close friend and my girl of a couple years (now both x'ed). now that i don't have a girl, it's like i never catch a vibe from females like i did when i was with her. but all the while with old girl, i caught it all the time. being the "good guy" that I am, I never fucked with any of them chicks. maybe I shoulda... mighta had somethin' to fall back on after the breakup! ha. it's a strange world. now i need some strange nani...

All possible. Just not likely. From the way he is talking, his friend is pretty smooth with the ladies.

Yep, and I bet he knows what a lady wants in bed...KILL BOTH MOTHERFUCKAS RIGHT NOW!

  • Maru, I'll go first. I have a crush on my roommate. Now your turn to say it. Would I get pissed if she hooked up with a friend of mine? Depends on the friend. Not so much on the jealousy tip but I don't think most of my friends are good enough for her.

Here's a cheesey pic of my roommate and me.........

    Wait for it.....

yeah we kissed and made up, but i still called her out on lying straight to my face. i live with three girls actually, all good friends and i think it's sort of like a territorial/man's domain type of thing. i screen the dude's they go out with, and get upset if they go out with jerks.

in the end though, you're right sheep. they're both amazing people, so i can't front on that.

    Hey Maru,

I certainly appreciate your dilemma. In high school, I was always the "nice guy" that hot girls talked to about their jerk boyfriends. In other words, I was the ever-dreaded "friend" guy chicks confided in. It used to piss me off to see dudes piss on these chicks, while the chicks overlooked the good guy right in front of them. The way to solve your issue is to get some booty yourself. I was gettin' my fuck on in college (later bloomer coupled with historically Black college with many beautiful women related), so the nice guy issue wasn't that big a deal since I was gettin' mine too. You wouldn't worry about your friends bonin' if you were gettin' some good dome in the next bedroom. Feel me???

    Yo,

I don't know about a woman being "like a sister" to me, but I know I wouldn't want any of my buddies hooking up with my sister - that could create some awkward shit. You may hear details about things that you really don't want to know about & can get caught in the middle of bull caca. If I was in the same situation, I would tell the both my roommate & my friend to shut up & leave me out of it. They're both old enough to fuck without having to make some mad drama out of it.

Also, maru, you should try to sleep with your roommates. Take advantage of these oppertunities before you get hitched & bogged down with resposibilities. Get these 3 broads together & have a fucktasitic afternoon or something.

  • THIS IS NOT A BROS BEFORE HOES ISSUE!
the way you explained things it seems like you are just a bit jealous that they are getting down and you are not. if they are truly good friends of yours like you said(and dude had the courtesy to ask you if it was okay) then you should be happy for them. are they both decent people? the only way this would weird me out is if one of them was married or doing it behind a commited relationship. but if they are both single good for them. peace, stein. . .

Yo man, the only thing that could make this uncomfortable would be the possibilty of your two close friends dating and subsequently breaking up, thus causing a rift in your friendship.

And that really sucks. I dated my bestfriend's friend, and now that we went through a terrible break-up, I really don't want to be hanging with my friend owing to the association.

That's a serious worry, but it doesn't look like you will ever have any say in the matter because these people are individuals. Either you fess up to your unadultered love for your pseudo-sister, or you man-up and accept the circumstances.

    Best of luck.

  • You wouldn't worry about your friends bonin' if you were gettin' some good dome in the next bedroom. Feel me???[/b]

Once you find someone to kick it with, you won't worry too much about what others are up to.

It's not always that simple - nothing more desperate than a guy Trying (HARD) To Get A Girlfriend, that vibe scares the women away, and if you're in a dry spell, sometimes you gotta just ride it out.

But otherwise,[/b] if he can be laid-back about it, Maru should definitely fight fire with fire and find himself a ladyfriend to get with.

  • Fuck that I THINK OF HER AS A SISTER bullshit. My friend does that shit with so many girls and no one can get at them cuz automatically he's busting there balls about shit. Shit is dumb. He has started so much beef with people over protecting them that he has lost a few good friends. Not me cuz I could care less about the lames he is "BROTHER" to. Anyways I would like to bang one of the girls he is brother too in the future.

C'mon Pickwick, my post said NOTHING about trying snag a girlfriend. My post said basically, "get some ass and you won't sweat the fact that your friends are bonin'". I'd never advocate sweatin' chicks!!! Pleeeeeeeeeeze!!!!

bottom line, how would you feel in a similar situation? do i have a right to feel like this somehow crosses some moral boundaries in our friendships, or am i just tripping?

you seem like a good dude. i once had a situation where i broke up with (now) girlfriend, she decided to go out with one of my friends, and i was having major sleeping problems for a little over a month, because i had an early morning class with dude, and that triggered insomnia. What can i say, i simply couldn't handle it. I'm a sensitive dude and it was the first time shit like that happened. I was smoking cigarrettes, just walking around my apartment, and talking to my friend on the phone at like 5am, cuz he was going through major issues too.

But yea, however you're feeling is natural man. Different people have different responses to shit like that. Just focus on work, school, exercise, whatever, and let the rest play itself out. A year from now, you'll probably be laughing about that shit. hang in there my Warriors friend.
