while i have your attention, another one that has escaped me for years is mc breeze's "discombobolator". i managed to find an mp3 of it about four years ago but lost it after a crash.
I don't think I ever got that record... I thought it was kinda cool but honestly I did not like much Philly rap during that era[/b], other than Schooly D.
Wow, that surprises me. Of course, I slept through much of the Yay's last golden era myself.
From an acetate. I am not aware of these being released, though I may be wrong. MC Rajah did stuff on B Boy records, had a song on a Street Sounds, worked with Keyboard Money Mike, L.B. Shabazz, etc. All the info I have on this is the label seen above.

Well, I was only living in Philly for a few years at that time. I grew up on New York hip hop and although I thought Philly's dj's were the best on earth, I felt the MC's left a lot to be desired when compared to the New York cats. I liked Schooly's stuff just because he was so raw with it, but I think the 1st Philly rapper I really respected was EST.
When I get home I'll try to post "Nothin Move But The Money" white label, "Champion Of Love", maybe some others. Don't have them on the shop computer... also I have copies of that "I Got A Good Thing" 12" that was posted earlier if anyone needs.

This is on the Mitchski EP on Ski Records in '88. This is my favorite track from there and Mitchski doesn't actually rap I don't think, he produces it, and it's with this crew Asiatic Force Productions.
One of my favorite Mix Alot tracks. Him just rapping about what he got in his studio. It made me want to spend alot of money on all kinds of geaar!! Plus he throws in a Egyptian Lover diss for the hell of it...
The Sir Mix Alot track made me think about this because this is the first time I heard someone rap about the equipt in the studio. Plus it's got to be one of the earliest posse cuts with verses from Spyder C, Divine, Sparky D...
Da Hoodsman - Da Rhyme Ripper Big Daddy Kane - Taste Of Chocolate (Extended RMX version) Suga Bear - Ready To Penetrate Alliance - Get Down Doo Wop & The Bounce Squad - Hit Em In The Head Funke Natives - Urban Contemporary Jeep Music High And Mighty - All For You Roz Feat D Nice A-Yo Ah Ite
Found this at a yardsale a couple of weeks ago. Can't testify to the -ness of this, but I think it's a british release from the early 90's.
Anyone have any information about "Expressive Records"?
I bought 2 or 3 records on that label back then, incl that one. Yes, early 90s. Funnily enough they are all 'whites' as well. Maybe they never did press them up. Mine all had paper bios glued to the sleeve. No covers.
