ive had to pay $9 (edit: for parking) for each of the 6 free visits to my personal orthopedic surgeon. not to mention all of the parking costs for the X-ray, ultrasound and MRI I didn't have to pay for either. all three within the first week of the injury too! how can we be expected to pay all of those parking costs in such a short span of time?
i bought myself one of these here boots that i could take on and off to bathe as well as adjust to different angles for the various healing stages:
cost me $180 as a voluntary purchase, but i'm sure i could have it paid for by any of the various other insurances that are provided to me as a first-world nation citizen.
i should also add that after the numerous appointments for diagnosis, treatment and follow up, the SURGEON elected to take the non-surgery route for healing. that means he decided AGAINST the extra thousands of dollars in pay he would get to perform a surgery in order for me to get the recovery i need. the removal of greed from the equation has made the incentives to be a better doctor a LOT higher.
