Simon Woodstock-and thats not just because he kicked the crap out of sticky fingaz from ONYX. Dude was crazy riding ironing boards with trucks and actually pulling tricks. Not saying he is or was the best, but he was always my favorite. And not a damn google picture to be found for the guy.

This thread makes me want to go back to 8th grade sitting in front of the TV watching skate videos with my hommies in the middle of the summertime. The best part was getting so amped that we just HAD to go out and try some new moves on the pavement. We used to skate from sun up to sun down and never get tired, or let a busted knee or elbow sit us out. Too soon you're old...

I skated up until I was about 18 (horrible ankle break). Back then I was a fan of Eric Koston, Danny Supa, Kareem Campbell and some other people I can't remember now.

He could always get the high rails and the top sides with smooth style and sick accuracy. Personally, I admired alot of talented skaters/"rollerbladers" for individual moves but since my fav moves were any variation of the sit-down unity, anyone who pulled those nice got extra points.......did you/do you skate man?

yeah, i used to skate years ago, back in the heyday of shadyskates(pittsburgh heads know the deal). i even won a few competitions. but i fell off man, havent skated in years

Dopest skate style award for me goes to Tom Penny.

    That dude could RIDE!

  • Kosten for his insanely smooth style.
    Mullen for innovation(needless to say!)
Kareem for the pure intensity & pop in his tricks.

And for all the post skating grown up types...why the hell aren't you still skating if you reminisce on it so much?
I don't let anything get in the way of my skating minus jobs, other creative endeavors, etc...

  • cosign!

Tom Penny is on some other shit altogether.

I agree that Cabellero was dope, but in regards to style I dont remember him having any. I could be wrong, but I remember him just going huge at everything he did. Remember in the early 90s when Powell Perelta had their national televised big air competition? and he won by getting 13' on the vert ramp? I'll NEVER forget that.
