    And now:

    I spend days on Kawasakis
    Nights with Lewinskies
But I'm the like the Ice Man, Richard Kuklinsky
I style on New York, pile up my fork
The Dips, consulted by the son of Malachi York (doggy)
Cause I push weight, plus I push tapes
God damn I'm starvin' and I just ate

    Doesn't he say Michael Kuklinsky?

  • Today it was this...

  • Did I mention that the day ended with a 41 year old co-worker confessing to me that she was a crack head (her word) and on the streets for four years, and then sweating me the entire ride to the professional function we were to help out at? The whole time assuming that I'm here "by myself," or without a girl, inviting me to dinner at her place (with no furniture), asking if I could walk her home, and when I dipped when she wasn't looking, calling me right after I got in the door? Nah, I don't think I mentioned that...

had a similar experiance of a coworker telling me she did crack and spent a lot in time cass corridor in the 80s and was raped and she had the child conceived from the rape and gave it up for adoption and is now trying to build a relationship with her daughter, i could only stand there in silence, i mean i feel for you but i really dont want to know this stuff about my coworkers

    anyways what iam listening to...

more on a summer tip but also enjoyable in the fall, i dont get why verve never reissued this, its very nice

one of the few broken lps that i still like, last time and sail away are still fav tracks of mine and decided to pull it out for my drive to work today

    and of course...

    I started a new job this week, and my commute to is longer now, so I broke out the minidisc for the first time in a while. All the following are getting regular plays;

    The B.Coming
    Late Registration
    AI's Love Break mix
    Illmatic
That Mark Ronson Fade To Black mixtape from last year
    CMW - Straight Checkn 'Em
CMW - Music To Drive By
    Bulletproof Wallets
    Neil Armstrong's "Extraordinary" mixtape
A Luther comp I did for my girl.

I had to break this out yesterday morning for what would prove to be one of the most trying days of my life:

Damn, you're right... I think he meant Richard Kuklinsky, who was a mob executioner known as "the Ice Man," though.

Wishing I was in Quebec instead of listening to this. It's pretty facemelt in a non-braeks-fun-mopecore way, though.

  • I was seriously just getting ready to post that.

    Damn, your math is unsolvable.

How about "Gilles Peterson Digs America"? - can't find a pic.

I just passed this up for pretty cheap (under $10, I think). Is it raer? I scanned it on the portable but wasn't really feeling it.

  • This has been on my turntable all week. I really get a kick out of how they did the secrete track on the album.
