I live in Ottawa, but a large portion of my friends and family are in TO. It was ironic that you guys got Ford just as we lost Larry O'Brien: a man who has left behind a legacy of sleaze and greed that will take a generation to flush.
I'd much prefer the global community associate us as a city of good looking people than big fat sweaty people.

At least from a distant outsiders perspective. Your town just so happens to have a mayor that has no filter, is built of a goofy mold, and is an easy target.
Incredible how he soldiers on, waiting for the KO he knows is coming. So glad the tape is back, a cousin of mine told me in August he'd heard the cops were sitting on it, I didn't know what to believe.

ford's popularity actually increased in the wake of the police disclosure. how is that even possible? what the hell is going on in toronto? why aren't folks wielding pitchforks, demanding that he resign? i understand there is no legal way to force him out barring a criminal conviction, which sounds unlikely at the present but maybe not, maybe his buddy will flip. videos of him and ford exchanging envelopes and suitcases, for fucks sake.

Unless there is a decent candidate to run against him next fall - and he's not in jail or at rehab clinic - he'll get back in. People can rage against the 'stupidity' of the voters all they want, but I went to the debates four years ago; it was a dog's breakfast all the way around, not one good choice.
Ford filled a very real gap and he was the only one with a platform that addressed those residents...him getting in can be filed under beggars can't be choosers.
I watched the Jimmy Kimmel parody and wanted to cry. This manipulative, lying, bratty useless piece of waste is making my beautiful city into a joke. Him and his brother are holding the city hostage with their fucking antics.

Some insiders posting there make it worthwhile. There seems to be lots of potential for this situation to blow up major but the TPS are a major wildcard. Doesn't even seem like they should even be in charge of this investigation given that the mayor is seemingly involved.
