Now I'm not sayin these records suck I'm'' just sayin that I feel there not worth as much as they sell for.... Don't get me wrong I like these records but for spending over $100 for them, for me nah, well that's my opinion now, it could always change LOL!!!... I guess that's why I prefer to trade...

What are some over rated records yall Paid for??

This record wow didn't know it sold for that much, good record but man guess lucky I got mine a decade ago in the dollar bins.... That's why I lug that portable around man....

  • a clean copy of 24 karat black is fully worth near 100 in my books based on the quality of the music and apparent availability.

on the other hand, while i like both of these records, i have never been able to grasp why someone would drop around a bill each for them. maybe over-rated isn't the right word but i consider them over-valued.

LOL Nah dollar bins for sure for that... I just don't see that Tom Scott Pop up for cheap, that would be a good record for trade value for sure.

This record I like but I don't think I could drop a bill on it right now...

On pure musical merit, I wouldn't buy this record for a dollar.

  • I've had three copies of that Tom scott and I agree that it's a trader. I think 40 on the first gear is fair but not a bill. Got that 1st gear... If you want to trade something I'm down.

No one should ever drop a bill on that First Gear LP!!!

Easy find for me that I see for $5 to $10 everywhere I go. I filed two copies some months ago.

    LOL. Hell to the yes!!

I sold this one a few times to people that wanted it because they were John Abercrombie fans. Other than that it's not much going on.

The Copeland Davis group & Ernie Hines lp's.
I'm sorry, but personally !!!! I think those are really over-rated.

This is overpriced due to the Kon and Amir effect, not because it is Modern Soul, no?

I found one for a dollar and kept it.

Weldon Irvine on the other hand....

can a record be overrated if there isnt another record in the world that sounds like it? That record is a true original. cant really agree that it is overrated because of its uniqueness and raerness.

it's worth a dollar, but not 200-300 like it has been fetching.......not really 100 when u compare to albums which are SOOO much better for those prices!

It's got 2 nice tracks, but they aren't ALL that! please.....

Yep he is still around. Got a message last week from him.

For me Frank Derrick Total Experience is the most overpriced/overrated album. Some okay tracks here and there but seriously sounds like bad New Orleans jazz half of the time.

yah, the doubletime fucks it up.

and then she fucks up "What's goin on" by turning it into "Glory Hallelula" or the The Pledge of Allegiance or some dum shit. Way to fuck up everything in the end!

More like a no-tracker, to tell the God-honest truth. Couldn't hang with any of it.
