font class="post"1b,121b,121No doubt, Even Lehrer is trying to get them to be a little more into it, saying things like "speak to each other"b,121b,121Barack talking about "I got a bracelet too" was great. Shows that McCain isn't the only one down with the soldiers & their families

  • Nice flip by Obama from Russia to energy. Interrupting McCain didn't do well with the people meter.

  • i hate that Obama keeps leading with "I agree with Senator McCain, but..."b,121b,121And I wish he brought up Rick Davis when McCain was talking about special interests and Fannie/Freddie.b,121b,121Not aggressive enough

font class="post"1b,121b,121Take a deep1breath. McCain is expected to do well on foreign policy. This is his bailiwick. The important test is whether Obama seems commander-in-chiefie enough and has a plan.b,121b,121I believe he has cleared that hurdle.

Obama lost to an exceedingly inferior candidate.

  • this whole debate makes me so depressed about the state of our country with all of the discussion that takes place about how1much money needs to spent on pretty much everything that we could possibly spend our money on. are we doing anything right?

This is not looking good at all.b,121Damn.b,121b,121What's up with the stammering?b,121b,121McCain seemed well prepared and that "... and what are you going to say? 'no you won't?" was well lead into and coldly executed. That old fart still has way more fight in him than I expected. He's covering his sneakyness with this smooth pseudo-humanistic icing.b,121b,121I'm seriously worried.

font class="post"1b,121b,121b,121I'm still riding for Obama and all but the debate really made me think about the whole "Obama Question" thread. Really you look at the answers and these guys are opposite sides of the same coin, its the same bullshit with different costumes. 1Reminded me why I voted for a third party candidate in 2000, we really do have the choice between the lesser of two evils.

  • I'm interested in seeing the highlight reel. 1I think when it starts getting picked apart Obama edges up.

That was a total f*cking bore, and a complete draw. The guy from NPR that has been following the Obama campaign said the main goal was to make Obama seem presidential. Okay, so he did that but who gives a F*ck. The NPR guy who followed McCain said their goal was to talk to the public direclty. Well I think they both bored the F*ck out of the public because neither came out with a grand vision that would be memorable. Instead, it was very detailed oriented that only the really informed would care about. The campaign continues to be tied 50-50 after this.

font class="post"1b,121b,121cosine on that shit. happened way too much.b,121obama pulled no big guns out and had no memorable lines except the spain thing. mccain seemed better prepared to repeat and repeat and repeat things that will affect the subliminal tone of what people take away from this. couple catch phrases, repetition, a lot of half truths and lies and a lot of accusations against barrack. barrack started every statemet by either agreeing with mccain or defending himself against mccains attacks.b,121and hate to say, but mccain is on the1right side of the ethanol issue.b,121b,121mccain definitely one the debate...but like1funky16 mentioned, i1dont know how1much its going to swing voters. obama needs to show1more strength and swagger.

  • garcia v,b,121dont forget that for all the sameness between the two and frustrating shit about obama...theres all that little shit that the president will do that will seriously affect things. a million and one appointments, not just to the supreme court, being the first that comes to mind
