man, its crazy how long i've been looking at this site. seems like i remember somebody talking about how they left the records they just got in their car, which was now buried under the rubble of the 9-11 attacks. maybe that was crates list though.....
doesn't it kinda feel like we all grew up together? i mean...looking at some of these posts from back then it feels like we've all really... "matured" as strutters....for example, imagine how a thread like this would go down now:

It really is mindblowing...I know that personally I learned and built from all the knowledge that's accumulated here and other places over the past five years, and if I'd started back then like Ako I'd have been in the same spot as you all were. I guess I never really realized just how quickly the record game changes until I started reading this stuff, hearing about Brainfreeze-era, the start of eBay, the 90s, etc.
It really all makes me wonder what the future holds with all this. I'm tempted to start a thread but I think in 2007 that's a real headz conversation.

My advise to you... Do not go to record strores you do not like. Instead go into thrift stores and buy Private Issue New Age. It is much more fun and only costs a dollar. If you do not like it you can send it to me and I will give you $5 to $15 a record and sometimes more. Then I will trade you Cymande and shit and we can all get our jollies. For the record I am not talking about Windham Hill or anything that resembles it.
