i think he meant the thread where 'you sound poor' originated? i have no idea where that came from. is that a reynaldoism? or a parody of a reynaldoism
please post links! it's not the same hearing about it. it's like when someone describes a dream to you they had that makes total sense to them and is like on the other end

Memorable Farts This thread was/is fucking hilarious. Sween completely murdered it.
yes...more stories plaese!
There's another one in a similar vein that I can't find the link for...it was basically about memorable/horrific bathroom stories. There was some unbelievable stuff in there, and much like the above farting thread, it had incredible appeal to that part of my sense of humor that never matured past the age of 12.
I don't save threads or even remember them all that well, but whatever one brought about the first apperance of Leo Slayer was a classic, I'm sure:
And any of the early Puto Bong Bong threads. Academy-worthy material.
Oh, and that recent Spiv/SportCasual classic with "I answered an ad on Craig's List"/"I Put an ad on Craig's List" that many people didn't even catch because of thread crossover comedy madness.
2 obvious ones I would think would be in everyones top 5; Mingering Mike and Porn Clerk Stories. I think there were 2 porn clerk stories threads.
I thought the recent thread complaining about Keb Darge playing rockabilly was hysterical. I guess no one else got the joke but me. There is always a thread on the front page where djs complain they play the best music but the crowds just want to hear crap like Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder. Pages of djs making their case for their artistic integrity and then someone comes up and says Keb Darge played some non funk records and allyouall piling on saying yeah, thats wack. I thought it was hysterical.
I am really enjoying the Falwell thread where Rockadelic spent 4 pages saying how he hates Muslims and now is backpedaling like he never said it and screaming that no one understands him. Soon it will turn into another all time favorite, Rock's and BeardD's trade gone bad. If it is not a ten pager I'll eat the entire Poetry Outloud Discography.
What was the thread with the pic of Asprin driving?
i also liked the photoshop of the Orlann Divo Record cover that put him in a cardigan sweater with the Icegrill girl. From the "what was in my mailbox thread"/

Fatback attacking Motown67s reviews. Am i the only one who remembers this?
The Free Jazz vs. scratching thread
DocBeezy's Smashing Pumpkins thread. JLR had one of my favorite lines of all time in this one that was something along the lines of "Yes, but I am also aware that the year is 2006 and understand that the USmashing Pumpkins are nolonger a band" I may have been the only one who thought this was funny though.
Porn clerk stories are modern classics.
Soul Syndrome...duh
Early AP performances were super high quality.
Alphonse Mouzon's 'cease and desist' letter to Soul Strut
The first thread about "ILL DRAMA STABS" from like 2002.
Shing a ling's "You herbs are so full of shit" thread. Raj's "Jared from Subway, I meant" response was too perfect. I still laugh about that shit.
Before he was a bitter weirdo record snob, and just a plain weirdo, hcrink had a string of crazy posts that I thought were hilarious. Many people did not, though.
Alphonse Mouzon's 'cease and desist' letter to Soul Strut
!! - details please!
back in the days, soulstrut used to have about 4 downloadable mp3's of various funky songs. i think "funky snake foot" was there for a while. Then Raj posted this letter he recieved from Mr. Mouzon telling him to take the file down or he was going to take legal action. Then the rest of the thread was about how people thought we (collectors/diggers/producers) are the only ones interested in his back catalog and how dare him when it's us who care enough about the old material to use it and bring him back into noteriety. Blah blah blah.
If I recall correctly, a similar thing happended with John Klemmer when "free soul" was posted.
The OG LeToupt were funny as hell, but I gotta say when Iron Monkey made the fake ones about his bike and the bread, those made me cry laughing.
The Free Jazz
The Free Jazz thread was THE stupidiest thread I ever read. It basically started when Day said he didn't like Free Jazz and then several people told him he was wrong, he could not have his own opinion about music. Instant 10+ pager!
Another personal favorite was Jinx/Justin's rants about little dude record collecting.

As I recall, "several people" = basically Fatback
I think this may have been the thread where he revealed that The Roots' Things Fall Apart album was the hidden link between jazz and rap.

Seriously though, WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO DOCBEEZY??? Truly one of the greats.

I have never had so much fun.
Edit: FOUND IT!
(You might want to grab a drink)...
i know that beef shit is played out, but this was classic.
i'm still waiting for the HarveyCanal/Rasheed Vs Cosmo Baker PPV.
YES.
Piedpipper and I both mentioned them. It does seem strange that it took till page 2 for them to come up.
The Crates getting his card pulled.
