This one's up there too and it seems more legit (at least some of the bidders do):

    http://cgi.ebay.ca/SIAH-AND-YESHUA-DAPO-...1QQcmdZViewItem

still going for a fair amount.

    I've sold that record buy-it-now (un fake-sealed) for $40.

    "The Meaning" 12"

  • i'm pretty sure most of the fondle em's were shrink wrapped out here on the west coast.

I bought most of the first run of fondle em record, including the siah and yeshua and juggknots lp. My Siah and Yeshua is not currently in the shrink wrap, but I think it was originally. The Juggaknots is still in the shrink and so is the Siah "Pirate" 12 inch. I didn't really check any other ones.

It's possible that they only shrinked a portion of them, like the ones that were definitely going to distributors and were going to do some traveling outside of NY. Sounds stupid, but maybe they saved some money that way. I bought them when they came out, so they couldn't have been boots and Rasputin's did not have a shrink wrapping machine. Maybe the distributors were wrapping them.

Anyways, I think most of them were sealed out her on the west coast.

  • I'm sure that they were in shrink over here in the UK

Yeah they were, i got a few in shrinkwrap...

The Siah and Yeshua EP has always gone for good money. $150 is much higher than what I've seen but I always thought it was a solid $75 piece.

Damn, lucky man, i went there on holiday a few years back and loved it, i only had time to check one record store though, it was this place where you had to walk through another little store selling porno to get to the records but it was good...

I gotta get on the case and get back out there when i get a job! Yeah a couple more years and then i'm done for good and will be ready to travel places, i actually researched about getting US or Canadian green cards but just reading about the processes involved exhausted me!

ahh ok. this makes much sense. thanks for clearing that up!

  • I think that this LP has indeed held up, but I never thought that WBF was good; these two are at their best with each other. Siah's Pyrite 12" was good, with some great lines ('Like some sweet clifford brown/the name of my james dean/ he got that ripplin' sound' always got me) and 'The Norm/Transatlantic' 12" was solid...but, the Yeshua/WBF stuff weren't hittin' these ear drums.

  • yeshua had a solo 12" out the same time that siah's pyrite came out, i can't remember what it was called though. i also kinda thought they were garbage from wbf on....

I distinctly recall back in '98 going to a record store somewhere in LA and purchasing Lord Sear - alcoholic vibes 12" and it was sealed. I'm sure I have one or two other fondle 'em 12"s that stil have shrink on the sleeves as well.

    definitely.

I think I may have bought this.

    These dudes were so bad.

Obviously, I am still very angry at them for swindling me out of my 6.99 way back when... which was a more meaningful figure to me as a college student.
