I got my copy of Fusion in an 85 year old womans garage in Hancock, New Hampshire amidst endless classical LPs..... most bizarre find as it was the only even relatively funky thing she had !

I'm a big fan of Yusef Lateef, but I never found this album very exciting for some reason. Maybe I need to check it out again. He definitely has some great releases though. I like the 10 Years Hence live double disc a lot. And Eastern Sounds.
Well I just got this at the weekend and it only came out last year but for current listening pleasure it's right up there. It's Charlotte Gainsbourg btw.

so damn soulful and spiritual.
That voice and that bass=game over!
yes then and now the maestro
also notice how stoned horace looks on that cover
and ...
(Notice the proto-photoshoppery on the [lack of] beer endorsement. Now that's Gangsta!)
So, I'm not the only one who digs this LP.
Peace,
Big Stacks from Kakalak
I was just about to post that Ramsey Lewis joint -
