It's OK, but it's not as good as Cold Blood's cover.
*cough*SOMEONE PLEASE TO UPLOAD AT 192!!!!*cough*
but yeah there's a lot of versions floating around that are at least "cool", it's such a good song that it's hard to really mess up. A suprisingly good version was one by that group The Letterman. Something for the Dollar Bin Scourer's/ILL DRAMA LOOP DIGGAZ/White Heat Beat Headz.
Kill all the nonsense. Spanky Wilson's version spanks both.
and the Jackson 5's version is not to shabbby either....
Seconded.
I've always liked the Calypso King's version too.
That album with "pusherman" on it? WORD! I got that from Chris two years ago and really enjoy. The rawness of the recording definetley adds to it as well.
It is a Female version of "Use Me" by Carol Hahn early 80's private press joint.
Tell me what you think.

what about Ken Boothe? I might like his take better than the og. definitely more danceable.
and Creative Source's version of "Harlem".
so lovely.
marion gaines singers- grandma's hands
kimiko kasai- use me
All the versions of songs that flip the gender roles are pretty damn good (Otis vs. Aretha on Respect, Soul Girl, etc.)
nice!
Didn't Ike and Tina do a cover of "Use Me" too?
So many good versions of those tracks exist.
For the beathead in me I got to go with Willis Jacksons cover of Ain't No Sunshine" on his Big Chance label LP
I thnk the bigger challenge would be finding bad covers.
anyone got any?
Ain't No Sunshine
so-so. more of a "hey look a japaneese version of Bill Withers with a drum break"
I have a feeling there's at least a few shitty versions of Lean on Me... thats the one that I wouldn't automatically grab a cover version of
I don't really dig the Cold Blood too much (or any of their other Reprise output for that matter)
I forgot about all the reggae versions.......
Temptations Ain't no Sunshine
Soul Children's version of Who is She and What is She to You is creepy, with a long rap on the fade...
(high fidelity dub sessions volume 3) by stryke & azul project...or something like that.
There's also a version on this
the cover is good but the rest of the album I'm not feelin'
Another killer Ain't No Sunshine cover
