That's the Soulman "Drugs" cd, and i believe the version in question is by Lionel Hampton.

I have an album of Al Jarreau covering Withers tunes on that Italian label "La Grande Storia del Rock"
Anyone got an mp3 of this? I've always been curious what it sounds like.
Some Ain't no Sunshine covers not mentioned yet that are all trilly dope:
Prophets of Soul
The Dells
Lyn Collins
Mama Lion
Bucky Adams and Basin Street (halifax private press)
Creative Source: 'who is he and what is he to you'
and
Denise Lasalle- 'Lean on Me'

I'm going to record the rest of the album as well, I'll post it up using something better than you send it, any suggestions?
Thanks! Much appreciated.
Here's the Paul Guma Quartet's "Black Fox," an informal cover of "Ain't No Sunshine."

Me'Shell Ndeg??ocello - Who Is He and What Is He to You
Mama Lion - Ain't No Sunshine
(Although Bill wrote it, the Isleys recorded it first - with Bill himself on rhythm guitar.)
As terd-eriffic as this album is, the "I know, I know"
breakdown on his version of "Ain't No Sunshine" is actually
pretty dope.
I just bought this today. Haven't had a chance to listen to it...
