So...I'm always quite impressed/amazed to see the depth and breadth of people's careers up on the Strut. From someone guy who used to handle a jizz mop in a porno store, to a frightening amount of attorneys, to a professional cook, to Monty Starks, to Gillian Anderson's brother (not really a profession but still kind of whoa), et. al. it just seems like there's no end to what folks do here. So I'm checking to see if we have any of the following in our midst. Lurkers, come out the (professional) closet! Are there any...Chiropractors?Practicing psychologists?Massage therapists?Public officials?Paleontologists?Church officials (i.e. priests, ministers, deacons, etc.)?Professional athletes?Law enforcement officers?Short order cooks?Auto workers?Venture capitalists?Plumbers?Studio engineers? Add your own queries. And just curious on a personal level, are there any other professors out here? Rep your dept and school!

    What? Who?

I used to play with one of the son's of one of the Mitchell Brothers when I was younger. Does that count as a profession? SOunds better than saying I'm an office manager and administrator.

Just don't make that mistake when you go to sell your "Starks[/b] Reality Musical Childrens vinyl 33.3 album" on ebay.

This reminds me, I have a box of about a hundred discarded keys sitting under my desk that I'm trying to decide what to do with. I feel like they could be used for some really cool art project, social experiment, etc. Anyone got ideas?

You could take the keys, stab them into the chests of random people, and see if you have the key to anyones heart.

OK it's late I'm going to bed.

I work as a graphic designer for a crappy large format digtal printer. But I spend most of my spare time doing sound design/composing, mostly for theatre and short film. I also work in post production for film and tv.

    your waxidermy is showing

I'm an academic too, doing biophysics on muscle and cytoskeletal myosins. Although I've never driven a jizz mop I have been involved in collecting sperm from sea urchins.

Since leaving uni with a degree in English Lit and Film studies I've failed to ever take a job which reflects even a modicum of my personal interests.

Worked as a professional investigator for a while (not even remotely as interesting as it sounds) and these days project manage and analyse data for an independent healthcare research company while waiting for something decent to come along.

If you ever need any facts and figures about the NHS I'm your man.
