"blunted""ill""sick""dope""fresh"I think these words all sound HORRIBLE when said in the real world. Or perhaps I'm divorced from da stetz.

I enjoy "wicked", but I also enjoy "awesome" and "sweet".

However, "funky" makes me cringe. Almost on the level as "ill".

It depends who says "wicked" if it's a media whore or someone in their mid forties who dresses like a snowboarder it's unexceptable.

Funky is the worst especially when used by 2nd rate tv presenters.

Yearning, as in "yearning guitars." Far too common in press releases and magazine articles about rock bands.

I remember this thread. While many slangs are simple adjectives, words like "funky" (now my #1 after a full nights rest of thinking) will not show up for the hating.

    How about adverbs?

    "Swimmingly" is my most disliked.

You know... when I hear older suburban housewife types use "funky" to describe something in the same way their daughters would describe as "ghetto" is kinda makes me think that both terms are fairly racist in origin too.

Mom - "He drives this funky little car..."
Daughter - "His car was sooooo ghetto..."

cosign. you know, I always liked the word "funk", but not "funky", cause people often use it in this suspect way. I read somewhere that "Funk" was used to describe the smell of sweat when having sex. I can live with that...just don't adjectivize it!!! "Make it funk, make it funk, make it funk....."
