I rocked this on DVD a couple weeks ago because I remembered it from when I was a kid. It did not live up to the memories.
Come to think of it, the only worthy thing about the movie is the fact that Vanity (before she turned Christian) is in it.
WOAH. Fellas...fellas...fellas...this is a classic TV movie, if there ever was one. The Glow, metaphor for life, MAD quotables, Sho Nuff, Daddy Green's Pizza, Leeroy Green, "Kiss My Converse", "Can you teach me some moves???", "Put me on your back and RAP", "I saaaiiid...get your hands OFF MY WOMAN!" Eddie Arcadian, "Catches [i]bullets, with his teeth??!!"

"those who are bound by desire, see only that which can be held in their hands"
That's a good score. It's one of those incredible records that is absolute shit but for one amazing song. I will never understand how this comes to be.
Yeah - 2nd track on 1st side - def. has its moments. It's from Lynchburg, Va. and auto'd by the man himself from 86 - but I don't know if that's when it came out or if that place was a chain. Suprised someone else has this!
i picked up two copies in lynchburg a couple of weeks ago, both autographed with a 1986 date.

Really? You think? I'm not big on kicking around and listening to prog records - but I found this to be pretty great all the way through. What track in particular are you talking about?

Mr. Business is a classic dancefloor track. The rest, at least in my opinion, is awfully mediocre.
Nothing really rare but i bought these after work yesterday, a total of 130 swedish kronor = 16$
Keni Burke "the wonderful world of" *strange BMG double lp compilation, i have most of his stuff but still, makes a perfect gift for someone who just got into him.. Jimmy Caravan "hey jude" (Vault) *not that special but had some nice moments.. Buddy Fite "changes" (Cyclone) *same here.. Passengers "hot leather" (Uniwave 12") Patto "casablanca" (Teldec 12") *both this and "black and white" has really nice instrumentals CCR Crew "stretchin' the pieces" (Circle City 12") The New Style "scuffin' those knees" (MCA/Bon Ami 12")
That's the second copy of Braen's Machine (Underground-bottom right)I've seen in the past few months in the "finds" thread. That seems almost impossible damn...tell me you're in Italy.

You found all of those in Kansas??
salina, ks / kansas city, mo/ detroit, mi / lawrence, ks / ann arbor, mi / one or two off ebay.
although the big record spot in kc is closing up shop, there are some nice places in and around northeast kansas. the deepest shit i have seen in some time was definitely in medium-to-small-town salina. and even though i didn't get all of these in kansas, it it very possible that i could have, in my opinion.

For $1.99 at Amoeba. Heheheheh.
The Hank Ballard 45 of this has the funniest intro rap by James Brown. He's like "Doyaremeberthatfreddiescottsongareyoulonelyformebabyhank?" So fast.
