but Jay Dee started that whole method of drum programming with putting your snares early and using, like, three hi-hats. Now everybody does that. 9th, Nicolay, and 90% of the underground/kufi-rap producers all do their drums that way.
SV as a group = but Jay Dee is an innovative producer and he continues to evolve each year. The best ever? probably not. But he as an individual is worthy of far more than a footnote in the hip-hop annals.
