HELP -- Macguyver Home remedies for heartburn

My esophagus is on fire. I have some unopened baking soda in my hand. Can I eat a tea spoon of that? Im not prepared for this shit. I used to be able to eat anything. Help me.

    mix the baking soda in a little water and gulp it down, the dry baking soda will just cake in your mouth and throat...use a little solvent with your solute.

    I find sometimes a glass of milk helps in a pinch...

    I have a condition that makes me more prone to heartburn, so I tend to have some antacids kicking around with me most of the time.
