Great story with the Howard Johnson.  I have a 12" with the same artwork, IIRC it's Standup b/w So Fine/Keepin' Love New.  That Paul Laurence / Kashif sound.  Smooth as a nun's soap.

we're lucky to have had him RIP

I mean, think about the Earth without his contribution and influence.  Apart from your family and friends, it basically sucks.  Tepid at best.

    Deffo less echoey-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y.

I think I like your definition of the earth better than the Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy's definition.

Call me whatever you want but in a strange way the Bee Gees are deep to me.

How Deep Is Your Love is deep.

The melodies in that are all killer.  Verses, chorus, bridge, all could make other different hits on their own.  Maybe being old enough to hear it in it's original context spreads rose-coloured marmalade all over it for me, but Night Fever has bangers.

I have checked out others from their catalogue but my boat remained unfloated.

And I'm saying Maurice was the one with the most taste.  Apart from the balding mullet / chesthair combo.  Gotta have been the marching powder, right?

Missed you on IG.  Good to see you back.

I am still biking.  I was diagnosed with heart disease this year (no symptoms, just got checked when my dad passed with the same diagnosis) and they said I should have had a heart attack by now but the veins have kinda done their own bypass.  I put all that down to biking.  Kids watch your cholesterol, liver health is key.  Doesn't matter how much exercise you do, you can't get rid of bad cholesterol.
