    1. free yr mind and yr azz....-funkadelic
    2. self portrait- ruth copeland

I've not heard Ruth Copeland 'Self Portrait' but are Funkadelic really all over it? I was led to believe that a lot of it is Ruth with an acoustic guitar. Happy to be corrected..

"Your Love Been So Good To Me"
I was never a fan of Ruth as a whole (her voice is irritating if ask me)  BUT Self Portrait and I am What I Am both have their moments thanks to the hard driving backend of Osmium era Funkadelic.

This is one of those album covers, though:

Here is a great documentary on the underground rapper's plight as they enter their late 30s / early 40s.

When I was college (Penn State - mid to late 90s), I used to hang with Louis Logic, guys from Jedi Mind Tricks, and a few others from the 90s underground indie scene.  It's interesting to see these guys get older and try to stay relevant.

Canadian-native DJ Greentea was one of the first Internet-era diggers that showed the world how amazing 60s and 70s foreign library and soundtrack music really was. This mix was released in the early 2000s when info was scarce and most of these records, a mystery.
