The day trip up Mt Fuji is good. The one we did took in a nice drive up Subaru Line and then some time at Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station. then down to Lake Ashi for a trip up the gondola and a ferry ride to Hakone and on to the bullet train back…

looks like mixcrate is pretty good. http://www.mixcrate.com/

at this juncture, I would use mixcloud. soundcloud starts getting a bit expensive with a few hours of music up. not to mention the copyright issues with mixes. mixcloud does not enable downloads, that is the only problem for me.

Hype over content. I never saw (heard) the fuss myself, not to say it's bad, but not the game changing freak talent the web made out.

Dropped my laptop a year ago, hard drive went ZZZZZZGGGGGGGGGGGnnnnnnnn dead. dead laptop. drove the read / write head in to the disk... like putting a brick on the needle of your turntable. local repair guy took the drive to bits a…

Natas / Hawk / Gonz (& Mullen to a degree) But in terms of impact in my youth, Natas #1. His parts in Wheels / Streets were just inspirational. Similar to the Christian Fletcher parts in the Wave Warriors videos... MUST GO SURFING R…

Touching down in Vancouver this weekend too. Hopefully be able to check some stuff out before heading to Seattle, but my 3 year old might have different ideas!

Agreed, I have heard Apples are rock steady with Serato.
-
If you get serato I would be tempted to clear out and do a clean install on the Dell. but only have Serato installed on it and nothing else. that would mean maybe having another lappy with everything else on it though! but yeah, any new…

I would learn how to use CDJs (something I have been meaning to do for years), they seem to be pretty much in every club set-up now. A pain, but mostly reliable. Newer versions can also run tunes off a USB stick. Serato are only as good as…

Being too drunk when mixing and ramming records back wherever (including jamming nude vinyl next to another), hungover clean-up the next day. Being too drunk and plain LEAVING records at venues (once had to evac at pace due to ex-related crazines…

Early on I did plenty of the reverse, finding breaks and thinking no one knew about them.

P.O.A.C.H.E.D. otherwise, creamy scramble.

I was pretty late to the party, being unemployed (unemployable) for so long. As soon as I had the funds to get a CD player this was the first thing I bought. Kind of out of character at the time, but totally understandable now. …

it was interesting to see him step away from that more footwork and jungle influenced stuff and in to a more experimental zone, I knew the album might be a bit different after this interview... http://www.factmag.com/2015/01/14/pearson-sound-deta…

you can stream the album here Ketan... http://www.npr.org/2015/03/05/389493760/first-listen-pearson-sound-pearson-sound His recent approaches to track construction / technique have either captivated me or left me bit cold. But what …

currently producing 100% onboard my laptop with Beyerdynamic DT-880 Pro headphones. I have some Yamaha monitors and a midi keyboard / trigger pad / controller thing, but they have been packed up for a while. Using Cubase 5.

I've not heard of that track, but I think it must be in a mix I've heard or something... definitely rings a bell.
-
I have 2 tracks out now that might appeal to anyone that likes that mid 90's 'Good Looking' drum & bass style... also, a mix of my ambient and drum & bass if anyone is into that sort of thing:

yep, just write it down and find someone who knows what's up.
