He cast a wide net and was buying collections around the country. Dealers everywhere considered him competition. I know at some level he wasn't liked by some because of that but I can't knock the hustle. He always had mad raers for sale and got top …

Nothing but respect for Funkyou!. He hustled hard. RIP.

I don't condone anything R. Kelly did or what Bambaata or Michael Jackson allegedly did but I can still enjoy thier music. Good music is good music. MJ will always be the king of pop and Bambaata will forever be known as an innovator and part of the…

I can't find any reference to it besides Wikipedia or sites that copied the entries from Wikipedia.

The Low End Theory was released 30 years ago today.

This is a "mailbox find" and wasn't something found in the wild but for me this is the huge white whale/holy grail that I've been chasing for a long time. 13 years ago @Mondeyano shared his first Boogie Mixx on SoulStrut. This was the opening record…

OG SoulStrutter HARVEYCANAL sent me a message this morning and said he'll be coming over with a box of records.

I'll be hosting a record swap again at my place the Thursday before the convention starts. Dealers from all over usually stop by with boxes of raers to sell. If you are in town that evening and want to join let me know.

Nice haul.

I still move Endless Flight to the front of the bins. As for what to buy... Roy Ayers - Poo Poo La La ?

I made this "The Cure - For The Grip Shits" meme album cover with a subtle toilet layer 10 years ago. After Jimster's response I had to share it again.

Earlier when I was sending messages back and forth with Howard Johnson I was kind of in disbelief. He's just one of those artists that I'm a fan of and have several copies of his records. After talking about the Prison Rodeo record he mentioned that…

First time digging in 3 months. Went digging in Lake Charles, LA and Beaumont, TX after driving my mother-in-law back to her place. She had evacuated to get away from the hurricane and had stayed with us last week. The Huntville Rodeo - The Easth…

Have you seen https://pinoygrooves.com/ ?

No, it's a 10". The Lords of the Null Lines (The Extremely Bootlegged Remixes) is a 10" also.

Not a grail, but

Another friend said that Greensleeves put out some ragga 7" years ago.

Here's what comes up on Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/search/?style_exact=Drum+n+Bass&format_exact=7" https://www.discogs.com/search/?style_exact=Jungle&format_exact=7"

I don't remember seeing any Drum and Bass on 7". Some friends in Houston put out a 7" in 1995 that were in the Drum and Bass scene but's it's not Drum and Bass really. It has more of a progressive sound with some breaks.

I think it's likely "Vance McCray" but still haven't been able to locate any info about the record online.
-
At least you didn't get caught with some stuff on you. That wouldn't have gone well at all.
-
I think consigning it is a good idea. Send it over to CarolinaSoul, FunkYou, or Paperstax to get top dollar since it is an unknown record.
-
I've never seen it and can't find any info about it online. Nice find. Wanna sell it?

Let there be Jazz looks cool

Bee Gees were bottom of the the barrel disco to begin with.

Picked up the Music on Vinyl 180 gram reissue of Placebo - Ball of Eyes. The only OG copy posted for sale right now is listed for $1300. It's the only copy so they can ask what they want I guess. The sound quality on this reissue is really good thou…

I didn't actually know this song before your post. I went down the Google rabbit hole. I searched for the lyrics and found a Donny Osmond cover of the track which was written by David Huff. Then David Huff lead me to the OG track by his band David a…
