Reminds me of Gary Oldman's character in True Romance:
Ha!
With the state of rap these days, I wondered if it could get any worse. Riff Raff is like Die Antwoord, only the joke's on him.
Kindly,

I dunno...now I'm starting to think he's in on the joke. Like it's this big experiment: "Let's see if a dude with sub-6th grade lyrics, no rhythm whatsoever, and whose entire existence epitomizes corniness can get over!"

I'm with you on that. Though I thought the same thing about Sarah Palin and the likes and unfortunately I'm STILL waiting on them to be like "Ah HAH! Fooled all you dumb ass supporters!"
yall crazy. Riff raff is dope - funny ass lines/ridiculous get ups/non-stop output etc etc.
Dudes like him are what the rap game needs. The characters.
This, for example. The guy recorded a freestyle - one take, mad f ups, no pre-writtens. Funny as hell lines. Then he makes a video for it, lipsyncing his own mistakes in the freestyle. If thats not on some punk shit, I dunno what is. But again, we can listen to the new , groundbreaking Common album instead...

I completely agree.
The one big issue I have is that he has no skill. I have heard (and from time to time, continue to hear) random drunk/stoned dudes freestyle out in public, usually late after the parties are done, all with no skill, rhythm, etc. That's exactly what this dude sounds like. And maybe that's the draw for folks who like it. I don't know. But for me personally, it's laughably horrendous. I'm stupified by how bad it is and how he's even in the game at all.

I think Riff Raff may in fact be Bennett of "Texts From Bennett" fame.

This.
How can ANYONE co-sign this dude?
We need characters in hip hop? Really? How about talented artists, making good music??
More evidence that the internet has ruined everything.
Hiphop is entertainment, not mundane reality. Hiphop does need characters, weirdos, clowns, larger-than-figures, etc. this guy is an entertaining character He's got jokes, and as far as I can tell, isn't playing the role of a make believe drug kingpin. It is kinda refreshing.
Comments
What I got is that he was so high, his eye's turned him into an Asian, thus he needed lots of rice for his new Asian appetites.
Terry Gilliam would be proud.
Thank you.

Mad Decent sucks these days.

"Sure, he sucks ass, but...SWAGGER!"

just wanted to memorialize that. carry on.
Carry on listening to the funniest rapper out? Don't mind if I do.
PS.
"They like, Riff Raff, why you acting so snobby?/
Im out back with John Gotti, doing Pilates"
OK, I like that even better than my "it's an elaborate joke" theory.

how about it? there's plenty of those - even if they are not to your taste.

characters, talent and "good" music - not mutually exclusive!!
Don't shoot the messenger.
