Wait, i missed an episode (and i feel like keepin this thread alive too...)

White people mostly can't relate to Crunk. Y'all know that. So where is this fascination coming from? Is that the same fascination we all have for Gangster movies, portraying lifestyles that we, "regular people", will never reach?

Also, when you peep the lyrics above, you realize that the N word is everywhere. That triggers many questions :

-could J-Lo possibly do a Crunk song soon starting her lyrics with "for all my nukkaz"?

-could Fat Joe participate to the remix?

-what happen when White people are screaming the lyrics with rage during a show??? Do they really say "for all my nukkaz" outloud or they mumble some word and replace it with "for all my people"...?

All in all,how do you feel about your daughter listening to C.R.U.N.K. ?

Faux, be fair. I think it must have been a typo and meant to read as follows:

White global hipsters[/b] mostly can't relate to Crunk. Y'all know that.

Y'all don't even see i'm the one laughin'...quote of the Year right here.Since you wanna play the superior american against the weak european, i got more for you then...I won't pull out my blue passport to piss you off, but get that straight : i was in Miami in 1992 and Luke was killin' it already. I didn't see much people relatin' to it. Now that Crunk is everywhere, even your neighboors likes it. So it don't makes you an exception, you just ride a bandwagon.

How many people was disrespecfellatin' Luke and the TR claps. And all y'all talking about "we need some snare drums"...lol. Crunk is the shit from my point of view too. I can sell a track i made in 30 minutes, sample-free,etc... That's THE shit.

Err, yeah, much like Li'l Jon, Luke's music also failed to reach millions of listeners.

What are you talking about now?

Why do these dudes find it so hard to believe that the music that people like to dance to is the popular music? Its always been this way...

This whole idea of being ahead of the curve by being up on Luke in 1992 is crazy--he was already past the peak of his national popularity at that point.

Unless you were smashing bottles in the studio with Pretty Tony in 1986 trying to come up with the perfect shatter sound for "Fix it in the Mix" you have no right to listen to or even talk about crunk music.

aw, you call me mofocker now???

see, that crunk shit got to your head son...you need to chill with the crunk juice. It makes you act hard for no reason. You wanna act gangster now?

why y'all are so emotionnal over a fuckin discussion that goes nowhere. Talking about Crunk is like talking about religion or politics on internet : useless. So fix your perm my missipssipi fella. Oh no, i forgot, you white...So fix your cornrows, it's trendy.

Faux, i was pointing out Luke because you and i are old enough to remember that MOST listeners hated him for being on that freak shit all the time (which is the reason why i liked him).

Also, i never try to act "real" with y'all. Y'all are the real heads. I can't front. I know there's a Strutter that witness the birth of Crunk in 1984 even...

  • "Scarred" came out in the mid 90's dinnit? That shit still bangs in the club.

    rap cops gots to stop

Yeah, I wasn't saying that he was done by 1992 by any means--he continued to put out worthwhile material--like "Scarred"--for much of the nineties.

Just saying that he had reached his peak of national popularity a few years before that, so if you were first discovering him in 1992, you definitely weren't ahead of any kind of curve.

    Luke for president.

Also, ya'll know that Luke has a daughter that is now in her mid-twenties? How crazy is that? That somewhere out there there is a full grown adult woman that's like "Luke is my dad". What if you were dating a woman, things got kind of serious, and she wanted you to meet her dad... and it was Luke?!
