I was watching that the other night. Despite the fact that there's probably a few good things in there I'm betting it's mostly garbage. The dude looked more like he was running a private junkyard than collecting records.

Saw that too. Who caught the Storage Wars episode where Barry took a bunch of 78s to Atomic Records?

    :fail:

  • Might be a good spot. It might be garbage. Dude had some other stuff that he was unaware of the collectibility so the same might apply with his records. Would be good to go check out if you were in the area and could get a hold of him. Of course all that I saw as far as a title was a Bill Cosby record.

I was honestly glad that they didn't show very much about them though and that Ace and Gary didn't know the first thing about what was good/bad. If they would have pulled a turdy Beatles out of the pile and said it was worth a load then everyone and their dog would be pulling records out of the attic and claiming their millions. "Who knew my old Styx records were worth so much..."

    It's Mike and Frank.

and one of the funniest moments on TV this year was when Frank rode the Exercycle.

    ew - lame comment.

  • The bearded bloke on that show is a snakey bastard when it comes to prices - at least the other guy doesn't often attempt bullshit offers like him.

Did anyone else catch the pawn stars where he paid $500 for an MLK record? Seems a bit far fetched.

Ridiculous.....tonight they bought a bunch of Fillmore posters but didn't mention that they "could" be reproductions.

Only thing I can imagine is that people win big in the Casinos and then go piss their money away on stupid shit at their Pawn Shop.

IDK if you're conflating shows or not, but its not a pawn shop... also, IDK that much/any of their digs are real or if they're all staged.
