Anyone on here own/love the optigan?

i've always thought it was the ultimate digger's instrument... what with it basically being a belt-drive turntable connected up to a keyboard and all (It plays back optical discs not LPs)

I left a Optigan in a Daly City Salvation Army for $80 bucks about 12 years ago. It had about 10 or so records with it as well. Major amateur moves.

I've got Movin' too, it's great

The holy grail is the 'Vox Humana' disc IMO, where you get the choir pad sound

I think I actually prefer the Optigan and Chamberlain to Mellotrons for a lot of things -- the 'Tron is all English and misty and elegiac, but Optigans bring the fierce horror flick vibe.
