In real life, that is, what would you choose? I know it's possible to legally change it, but in your Private Mind Garden (PMG) what would you choose?Me, I am liking "Montague Love".So what if it's already been used once before? It would be so rad to walk around with the name Montague Love....

I fancied the surname "de la Cruz" but I am about as exotic as a raincloud.

Damn, this thread reminds me of when we were trying to choose our kids names, thats a big weight right there, the little ones are lumped with it for life.

and when faced with that responsibility it takes some time to find the right name, we spent months trying to decide what our son would be called, we had the girls name decided, but a boys name? damn it took us a long time.

and then when the pregnancy of our second boy showed up (Surprise! still no sleep for another year), we were faced with having to find a boys name all over again.

Anyway, we settled on Jack and Tui.
Tahi, Cash and Henry were the names that just missed out (Tahi is Maori for 'One').

If i could change my name? not a clue. im boring old Alan. i never really got used to the name, it doesnt really fit but its the one i got.

Anyway, im Papa now and thats a name i love.

Yeah I've given a lot of thought as to what we're going to name our kids and it's been stumping me for years. I don't think I have a talent for that. When I was a kid and my mom was pregnant with my baby brother, she asked me what they should name him. I told her that, if it was a boy, obviously they should name him after my best friend at the time, Martinez.

If it was a girl, well either Sweetie or Queenie would work...

My friend just named his little girl Frankie. I liked that.

The fiance and I are trying to figure out what to do with our names when we get married. I have an atrocious german last name that I would never want to inflict on another person. I have also have zero desire to honor that side of my family's lineage. Hyphenating the two last names is not my style. My name sounds ridiculous with her last name.

We were toying around with just making up a new last name for ourselves. Anybody else done this?

My old friend Jimmy Woodcock got married last year and now his wife is pregnant and her policy is refusing to inflict anything more than Woods on either herself or their child...lol.
