you mean senor soul was actually Mexican?

Well, I'm pretty sure Brenton Wood wasn't Mexican, and they got ads on the back for his LP.

Yeah, the Senor Soul dudes are guys that went on to start WAR, and I don't know if any of them are Mexican, although it wouldn't surprise me...but I wasn't saying , "yo, here's that OG Mexican pressing of those Mexican funk monsters, Senor Soul!" I just thought a Mexican press of a SS album was neat.
    And trashed.

you mean you have not heard the Brenton Wood Mariachi lp?

What's the scoop on that Kawaida LP? I pulled it out of unpriced stacks at a spot I frequent, but was turned off by the price he put on it. How is it? Worth spending a lil' $$$?

  • Above average spiritual/free jazz LP - I got that one for $2 and am very satisfied with it. How much are they asking? $10 is a steal, $50 you're getting taken.

Only $12, but the cover is pretty thrashed...I don't let that bother me too much, though, so if it's still there next time I'll cop it. Thanks.

I had a bunch of those Thrasher comps. on cassette once upon a time.

The Gorilla Biscuits song on there kills it, a lot of good memories have that record as the soundtrack. An old friend of mine (and member of a very succesful major label punk band, the kids love 'em) has been cleaning out his crates and letting me get at some old school goodies before they hit Ebay. I sold all my old HC records back in my drinking/serious fuck up days and it's kinda nice to get them back.

So much of that early Rev stuff is classic, the original 7" version of that comp is I too sold a bunch of my hardcore/punk stuff when I was studying just to pay bills, but luckily I still have a ton left. But you're right, that record has many good skateboarding/growing up memories for me as well. Go on, tell us which band.......

Ha, I have their first 3 albums, kinda lost interest after that though, the first 2 especially were real good. I even had a Suicide Machines T-Shirt at one point. Cool.

    Johnny,

How much is that RAMP? Still don't have a copy. You can PM if you don't want to start quoting prices all over the boards. Didn't see it while I was there yesterday, so could be gone for all I know.

No, I'm Josh. And I never felt more like a herb than I did yesterday when I left you that message saying: "Well, if we don't connect while you're down in NYC, I'll see you on the internet"
