Simon and Garfunkel, OK, yes, but his solo material makes me want to break things. Just looking at him makes me mad.

b, 21b, 21Til I die. b, 21b, 21h, 21b, 21b, 21How can anyone who likes hard rock/metal/rock and roll hate AC/DC?? I don't get it. b, 21b, 21h, 21b, 21 b, 21b, 21h, 21b, 21b, 21b, 21Well, my coworker, as I said, is a fan of angsty nu-metal shit. So he's not afraid of heavy music, but he can apparently only fusk with it if it's all progressive/introspective and shit, judging by what I've seen in his iTunes folder. b, 21b, 21If he only likes hard rock/metal on an intellectual level, than I would say he doesn't like hard rock/metal. So perhaps he doesn't count. b, 21b, 21b, 21On old friend of my wife's was staying with us a while back and he just started shitting on AC/DC. He's not some big music guy either. If you're not a big music guy, why would you be so vehemently against AC/DC? I can't see being like "AC/DC? ehhhhhh." But he went off a little bit. It has to be an asshurt reason like "You Shook Me..." was playing when his girlfriend dumped him or something. b, 21b, 21b, 21I also get this vibe from a lot of music critics/bloggers/writers that AC/DC is weak mullet rock and should be looked down upon. I don't think I could find evidence of this, it's simply a feeling that comes from reading too much internetz that has caused me to look at my un-ironic enjoyment of their music as perhaps odd for my age.

I swear to God people lookin' at myspace page must think I'm a little light in the loafers because of a) that Mason Jennings' "Duluth" song (sung from woman's perspective, NOT man-to-man) and b) Olive Oyl's "He Needs Me" YouTube video. b, 21b, 21Oh well, keeps 'em guessing. b, 21b, 21b, 21But yeah, I gotta agree with Bassie as far as Grease goes. (I like to listen to "Hopefully Devoted..." screwed 'cause it sounds better to me haunting and depressing.) I also ride hard for Grease 2. C-O-O-L R-I-D-E-R!!! Michelle never looked so good poppin' and smackin' that bubble gum!

I was coming at it from the pov of the rarefied air of SoulStrut; its greatness might be overshadowed by the fact that it's a musical. But now I can see SoulStrut loves musicals!

    b, 21b, 21b, 21His name is BONO....

  • I would have to say Ennio Morricone. Loving the Dark Moody soundtracks. Plus anything involving the Bond Theme or themes. Sweet soundtracks are my guilty pleasures.

  • I'd have to say...b, 21b, 21Biggie- Ready to Die LPb, 21b, 21I was 24 and it was a good time for Hiphop in my opinion. It's my favorite Hiphop LP of all-time. Primo was on point and Easy Mo surprised me and came out with all those bangers. One time, the crew were in the UC Davis parking lot, puffin' on one (or two) img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badassbuddy_com-slowburner.gif" alt="" 21 and listened to the whole album. Good times...good times.
