That beat is nuts - for a second I thought it was tablas, but it sounds more like someone playing regular drums with their bare hands, John Bonham/Moby Dick-style - but I have to agree with Day. To me, autotune is now officially some played-out gimmick shit. You can tell that the people using it now are doing so because it's the hot sound and for no other reason, such as "does it actually sound any good?". I do not fear tha clurb, but if I was in a spot where every second record had that shit all over it, I would go properly insane. That whole thing would work much better as a straight-up rap record.
