The Election Is Over (Map-R)

CNN has finally called Virginia for Obama, with the newest poll of polls showing a ten-point margin. This puts Obama at 277 electoral votes with 270 needed to win. The Bradley effect will be offset by the fact that young voters by and large do not use land line telephones, which is the medium for conducting these polls, and they will be voting voting overwhelmingly for Obama.b,121b,121The election is over. The good guys won. b,121b,121

b,121b,121This kind of talk doesn't help Obama. Save this for November.

  • All we need is for Dr. Wu to call you all a bunch of bed wetters and the circle of life will be complete for this thread.b,121b,121Personally, I think a lot of you are suffering from Battered Democrat Syndrome (BDS). b,121b,121We got 19 days left. McCain just shot his campaigns wad on ACORN and Ayres and it didn't stick. I actually agree with Vitamin that McCain is not listening to his staff and doing little to control them, hence the schizophrenic messenging from team McCain. b,121b,121Tell me a plausible scenario that McCain digs this one out and wins? Or is this the BDS talking...b,121b,121EDIT: And on a side note, why the hell did team McCain or just McCain himself think that Joe the Plumber was a good avenue of attack? That was the new "My Friends" of debate 3.

b,121b,121h,121b,121b,121Actually, both 538 and NYTimes have called into question just how big this under-representation may be. They're currently predicting that it's 2-3 point undercount which is decent but not like a tidal wave. Most polls have overweighted youth responses on account of the landline thing but it's not a precise science.

I'm still waiting for Hillary to swing down from the rafters in a Spiderwoman costume to kick Obama in his neck and take his place at the podium. b,121b,121

I imagine the Bradley effect will fall within the same range.

What about the republicans secretly voting for Obama but are afraid to admit it in public? Its called the Sanjaya Effect. OK, its not, but it should be.

b,121b,121Also take into account the reverse-Bradley -- otherwise racist folks who are OK with Obama. b,121b,121The one thing that worries me about the youth vote is that if things are looking great for Obama, they just might not show up on election day. Always a risk there. b,121b,121Ain't poppin' the cork until the results are tallied.

I don't want to warn about the dangers of complacency but the election isn't being held today and I'm still very nervous/uneasy about desperate all-or-nothing measures the McCain camp could take. I'm hopeful and feel good, but I'm still a little worried. Had to check myself after I saw conservatives spinning what I saw as a major blowout as a strong performance for McCain

  • hahaha.b,121b,121seriously though, what's stopping joe the plumber from having a pistol tucked in his pocket (pasue). I'm seriously getting worried about this. More security needed in the coming weeks.

b,121b,121A 2-3 point undercount for obama in the national poll would equal a hands down landslide, which we havent come close to in a long time. It would be the tipping point and the referendum on the bush administration that alot of folks are looking for.
