font class="post"1b,121b,121At this point Dirk needs some real help to take the pressure off of him.b,121Kidd isnt that dude. Howard isnt that dude. For 4 years y'all have been lookin to him to save the day and it hasnt happened. He's an MVP but Dallas needs someone to compliment him. Howard is just a glue guy and isnt that consistant second threat...IMO.b,121b,121I watched Wright in New Jersey and dude needs some consistant minutes. He should do well w/ the second unit.b,121b,121Terry should also be on the second unit.b,121b,121Bass is a monster but plays PF like Dirk.b,121b,121Dont sleep on Rick Carlyle - he may bring some other shit to the table and squeeze something new out of this bunch.

Tim Grover (Trainer for Jordan and other star athletes) was training OJ Mayo for a lil bit in the off-season and he said he has that "it" and that he will be a star in the league.

SUNS: Slept on Editionb,121b, 21Steve Nash: tweaked his ankle twice already, hopefully Kerr's plan to rest him this season will spell success for the long haul. b,121b, 21Goran Dragic: Kerr's genius move so far, the Slovenian is shaping up to be "baby Nash." He's much better at point than Barbosa or Banks, but pretty much anyone is better than Banks at point. He's also athletic enough to create his own shot and even dunk on folls.b,121b,121Robin Lopez: The Suns finally have a big defensive YOUNG Center, hopefully he learns tons from Shaq an Bill Cartwright. Dude might be a goofball but he's no dummy. His multiple vicious blocks executed at the Indian Wells outdoor exhibition game were a welcome sight from the Suns rookie big man. b,121b,121Matt Barnes/Grant Hill: The Suns got both at bargain bin prices, hopefully Barnes can grow with the younger players and stick around in the desert for a while. Grant Hill just needs to stay healthy. b,121b, 21Shaq: Dude is another year older but has motivation to win one more ring. Maybe this is his time. b,121b, 21Raja Bell/Diaw/Barbosa: I think as long as they keep on playing well, I see no reason so mess with a good thing here.b,121b,121Amare Stoudemire: If he plays well, the Suns win. Period, end of story. His new glasses (thanks Boris) and emphasis on defense are are a refreshing change, but Amare can be all talk at times. b,121b, 21Louis Amundson: Energetic player, I haven't seen much of him yet. b,121b,121Robert Hite/Sean Singletary/Alando Tucker: I think the Suns are still trying to figure out what to do with these 3 players. My guess is Singletary and Tucker stay, since Kerr has sung Alando's praises and he has definitely improved since his rookie year. Not sure why they swapped D.J. Strawberry for Sean Singletary, but I think they needed a more reliable point guard backup just in case Goragn Dragic wasn't learning fast enough....b,121b,121b,121and Terry Porter: ? Only time will tell if his new defensely-minded system will be as effective as D'Antoni's 7 seconds or less offense was.

The Warriors are going to freaking suck. Williams is nailed to the bench. He can do NOTHING. He's so slow he can't beat his man off the dribble. Without a point guard this team goes nowhere. Jackson will play point forward but that basically means he dribbles the ball past half court, then he passes. They simply have no one to run that team and set up their offense. By the time Ellis comes back, it'll be a lost cause. Their rookie Randolph however could be real special.b,121b,121Dallas and the Suns are on the decline. Both will probably make the playoffs, but in the bottom and will probably get bounched in the 1st or 2nd round. They need to rebuild. b,121b,121Indiana needs to be all offense because as long as they start Murphy and Dunleavy in the frontcourt they will never defend anyone. b,121b,121I think the up and comers are the young teams like Utah and the Hornets. They're not going to win the championship, but they will be the hottest teams for a couple years. Of course, no one is really going to watch Utah though.

font class="post"1b,121b, 21In my opinion the Suns can't win by relying on Nash, or Shaq anymore. Amare is gonna be the man to take em to the shit. He has the skills, heart, and determination, but needs to prove it on the court. Also, Raja Bell needs to step up. He had that one good year where he was in the head of every swingman in the league, but been coasting and chucking 3's ever since. I see Barnes taking his minutes this season too.b,121b,121Hometown Suns fan here, but plan to catch as many Blazers games as I can this season. img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/oof.gif" alt="" 21

Derrick Rose -- if/when he starts on the bench really has nothing to do with his performance (which so far has been pretty awesome); it's the Bulls' brain trust, or lack thereof. I am actually happy Larry Hughes got injured, as it takes a little pressure of the logjam at guard: Captain Kirk, Ben Gordon, Derrick Rose, Thabo Sefolosha and Larry Hughes. The Bulls seriously need to trade someone, preferably Hughes but that seems real unlikely. b,121b, 21However, John Paxson doesn't really seem to know what to do with the team, as far as developing talent v. doling out minutes to veterans with big paychecks. Skilles didn't know how do it, either did Boylan. The jury is out on Vinny del Negro. If Rose starts on the bench, the only positive I can get from it is if they are showcasing Kirk and Larry for a trade.b,121b,121But Rose has been fairly impressive. I like the idea of a team centered around him, Gordon, Deng, Tyrus Thomas, Noah and Drew Gooden -- young, small and fast. I don't know if they are going to make huge waves this year but they are definitely promising (and fun to watch).
