Recommend a running shoe.

I'm looking for a shoe that's light, durable and well cushioned.b,121Hoping to get one that lasts at least 6 months this time.b,121The previous one i had lasted 4 months, it was a puma cell bisley the outer soleb,121started peeling off.

    I use the mizuno galaxy 7. but I recommend trying a bunch of different types at a reputable running store to find the right fit. you may over pronate etc... bring in your old pair too.

    the mizunos I use are about $100 and were so much easier on my joints the the $40 asics I used for my first marathon.b,121b,121I usually do about 50 to 60 miles a month.b,121b,121like I said if you find a reputable store they won't try to gouge you with some ridiculous $300 model.

    font class="post"1b,121b,121Cosine. I work across the street from their HQ, and they have a nice lil outlet store. I copped my running shoes there, and I didn't know shoes could be like that. Highly recommended.

    I pronate as well and have worn Asics DS Trainers for years. Great arch support and lightweight - I love em. Closer to $100 than $70. Also the added benefit of being consistently the ugliest shoes on the market.

    new balance and asics. just try em on, your feet are different than mine. local running store around here will watch you walk (heel-toe or on the ballsof your feet) and tell you what kind of shoes you oughta wear. they are pretty good about it. do they make shoes under 70?

    font class="post"1b,121b,121My rule of thumb: The uglier the shoe, the better, and STAY AWAY FROM NIKES. b,121b,121I made the lame lame LAME mistake of running 10 miles in my Nike Air 5.0 only to be completely immobile for WEEKS afterwards. They really fucked up my feet! I was stupid and figured that since they were running shoes I could RUN in them, but really they are supposed to be slightly cute shoes that you wear with a matching outfit, go to the gym with to walk around in and then go home, maybe running up to one mile or something like that. b,121b,121I've been rocking some New Balance 767 or something like that for TOO LONG, but they are still great. They ran the LA Marathon with me and the Nike Women's Half Marahon. I think the life of a running shoe is supposed to be 400 or so miles, and although I've run waaaay more than that, they are actually still great, which is why I'm so lazy to buy nu shooz. b,121b,121 img src="http://www.daytonabeachcombers.com/images/Garfield Run2.gif"1

    Cosign on everyone who recommended going to a good store and getting help w/ picking out a shoe. My local store (Fleet Feet in DC) lets you run around the block in them before you buy. It's so essential to get something that works with the shape of your foot and your style of running, especially if you are running any kind of real distance.b,121b,121I'm flat footed as hell and over pronate a ton.b,121b,121I just bought a new pair today actually:b,121b,121img src="http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg_images/510/208289510.jpg"1b,121b,121ugly as sin, but incredibly comfortable. $90.

    ...those are ugly? they look like normal running shoes to meb,121b,121i have a pair of saucony pro grid 4s. if you can get running shoes from a store that knows what they're doing, they'll help u figure out what kind of shoes are best based on where you're wearing out your feet on your current shoes. Thats what they did for me, i had to go up to evanston to get them but it was worth itb,121b,121img src="http://men.style.com/images/upgrader/gear/products/running-shoes/saucony-pro-grid_h.jpg"1

    Brooks do good running shoes, as opposed to fashion shoes. Wifey swears by 'em. Shop she uses have the fancy machine and say always buy a size a little bigger than normal - which is why "Proper" running shoes come in half-sizes.
