The facemelt means that the Spurs having homecourt is a BIG deal.
But your "Spurs know how to win championships.." comment is str8 fandom.
Last year Dallas had yor card but got knocked out by the Warriors, and the Phoenix series has some str8 suspect calls that led to rejections. So to say the Spurs ran thru dudes last year is mad suspect..IMO.

Part of knowing how to win championships is being able to beat the #8 seed when you're the #1 seed and getting out of the first round without an epic fail.

No doubt but that doesn't mean the Spurs didn't catch a break last year. That was the general sentiment down here in Spurs country. I"m not trying to knock yr ring like Batmon but the point has legs.
PISTONS IN 5 (sorry, 6ers) CELTICS IN 6 (sorry, hawks) MAGIC IN 7 (the one nobody cares about, aka: first to a second round exit) WIZARDS IN 6 LAKERS IN 5 HORNETS IN 6 (dallas. just can't hang in the post season. they still shook) SUNS IN 5 (fuck the spurs) ROCKETS/JAZZ IN ? (i can't call this one. i want houston to win, even though rick adelman is garbage.)
i'm thinking the era of spurs post season dominance is over. what's the average age of that team, 45? i'm not saying some of the Suns aren't a little long in the tooth themselves, but it's just not gonna happen this year.
i can't stand that shaq is still playing basketball but frequently misses finishing alley-oop tosses at the rim b/c he's too old and fat-- by all accounts he should be retired. but whatever is left in his tank is going to put a serious beating on duncan. i doubt he'll (shaq) have anything left for the second round (i think the suns will probably get beat in a long drawn-out second round series)
in any event, this year the suns don't look like they're in any mood to fuck around stretching a first rounder out to seven games. the spurs have shown that they are beatable in big games this season, and i look for the suns to capitalize on that. some little dudes are going to get beat up. this one's gonna be a slugfest. (but i look forward to watching NOH/DAL more)

I dont see Dallas gettin sonned in the first round again.
Comments
Let's not get carried away.
Suns fans got that bravado/insecurity in effect. But who knows? Maybe this is the year Phoenix finally makes it happen against the Spurs.
Even if I were a betting man, I wouldn't put money on it, though.
WESTERN CONFERENCE PLAYOFFS = MUST SEE TV START TO FINISH!
I don't understand your graemlin usage.

All I can say is start figuring out now what conspiracy theory you're gonna use when the Hornets lose in the 1st round.

Word. Obviously I was just funnin with that comment, but there is some truth to it. 4 championships in 8 years doesn't happen by accident.
U SURE ABOUT THAT?
TELL ME THE SPURS DIDNT GET A BREAK?
I hate that fuckin' team but that's what the fuck they do: win championships. It's mystifying and really quite annoying.
No doubt. But lets not frame last years Spurs run as "they ran thru everyone".
Dudes got breaks.
IM NOT HEARING THAT SHIT TALMBOUT...."PEOPLE CONTINUE TO DOUBT THE SPURS AND THEY CONTINUE TO GET RINGS...." THIS IS A NEW YEAR.
AND IF YOU WANNA LOOK AT HISTORY....THEY HAVENT WON BACK TO BACK, DURING THEIR DYNASTY.
BETS ANYONE?
Just wanted to quote that cause I like the sound of it.
I may be in the minority and an obvious fan, but I think the Spurs woulda won with or without that call.
I'll take an avatar bet with anyone, I'm riding for the Spurs all the way.
Done. Spurs win, I take any avatar of your choice for a month. Suns win, you take an avatar of my choice for a month.
Done.
Awesome, I think this is a rematch from last year then, right?
Can't wait till Saturday...
"LET'S GET IT ONNNN!!!"
PISTONS IN 4
CELTICS IN 5
MAGIC IN 5
WIZARDS IN 6
LAKERS IN 6
MAVERICKS IN 6
SUNS IN 7
JAZZ IN 5
So now I'm a Hornets fan?
Does Rex Chapman still play for them?
REX CHAPMAN WAS ONE BAD WHITEBOY!!!!!
GRAN-MA-MA
Lakers
Spurs
Jazz
Cavs
Orlando
Boston
Detroit (I'm really tempted to pick the Sixers tho)
Declining to call the Mavs/Hornets series?
Boston
Washington
Orlando
Detroit
Lakers
Utah
San Antone
New Orleans
but I feel not-so confident about New Orleans over Dallas or San Antonio over Phoenix
Please believe that they better get it done in 6. If it comes back to SA for 7 they are done for...
You and Mylatency got some high hopes, son!
I think this calls for a 1 month avatar between Harvey & Rock?
And although I picked Detroit over Philly.....YO DREWN U WANNA BET ME FOR THE PISTONS GAME??? Ill switch to Philly and vote for the underdog.
WHAT!
