    Pulled out my ~15-year-old pair of Timberlands for a trip to Santa Fe last week...and they might as well have been brand new. And believe me, I wore the hell out of them back in the day on hunting/hiking/camping trips. Point being, it appears that I may be set for life.

    depends on the guy and the weather, really high snow or slushy weather would kill your pants if they're over the boots.
    the great thing is that there's lots of room to tuck your pants into them and they don't look goofy. you'd have to be wearing some baggy pants to fit over these still.

    I think the LaCrosse boot company is actually owned by Danner.

    Red Wing make good boots too, if you can get over the white sole thing.

    I hear ya all the way, fuck that guy, but that company still makes great boots. Of course there's other choices out there, but the Timbs are available in so many styles and you can get a pair for less than a 100 bucks that will last you a lifetime.

    And I'm willing to bet that guy doesn't work for them anymore. Their entire line of apparell at department stores seems to be geared toward "hip hop fashions" these days.

    Anyway, NorthFace seems to be all the rage out west. Maybe that's why all the Timberland shit is always so cheap.
