Summer of either 1980 or 1981, I forget which, I was at Great Adventures amusement park. It was getting late and the park was about to close, and we were running around trying to get one last ride on the Lightning Loops. We're in a secluded part of the park, and we stop running dead in our tracks when we see Magic Johnson! He's leaning up against a fence wearing a denim suit, smiling that famous smile. We were like !!! WTF is Magic Johnson doing out here? This was like right after he's won the championship as a rookie, burning the Sixers for 42 playing center in place of an injured Kareem. So dude was HUGE right about then! But there he was, all by himself at Great Adventure, just standing there in a denim suit. Smiling. Only person with him was a little Puerto Rican kid who was selling pieces of paper for $1 so the few people that were around could get autographs. I said F that, pulled out a dollar and got Magic to sign that for me.

A few years later when times were hard I used that dollar bill to buy a bottle of soda pop.

Damn! Mike Clark the drummer? I'll bet he's super cool. I hear Yngwie Malmstien is nearly retarded.

The fat kid from that show "Head of the class". He was dick. it was at magic mountain.

  • My girlfriend and I saw Michael Stipe arguing with a bellboy in a hotel lobby in Vancouver a couple years ago. We drunkenly decided to run up to him and punch him the gut. Luckily for him, he ducked into an elevator before we could lump him up.

I also sneezed on the not-foreign cousin from Perfect Strangers once. He was not amused.

So I've heard. I think other Valley-based strutters had encounters with him because he was mentioned a long time ago. I pretty sure he resides in Toluca Lake, which is somewhat of a high-class area, now.

Oh yeah, Michael "Donkey Lips" Bower (not really famous, just a character actor best known for his goofy role in Nickelodeon's Salute Your Shorts) when I worked at a videogame store as a teenager, and Sandra Bernhard at a Lakers game

However my girl gets to meet all the cats... she works in a studio in Midtown. Other week it was Ice Cube, Capone/Remy Martin/Lil someone or other. Plus Bill Clinton, but that was elsewhere.

Apart from that, I'm surrounded by nearly men and washed up hasbeens!
