The Bandit from Smokey & The Bandit
    Klinger from M.A.S.H.
    2/5 of the Rat Pack
The host of Win, Lose or Draw
A great character actor from old films noir & westerns
    A few pro football players
    A few country singers
    Hot babes in spandex
    Lots of car crashes
And a killer blooper reel at the end.

Mine would be a semi-documentary/concert film.

    SOUL.. remembering soul music

    with talks and performances with

    Aretha
    Stevie
    Isaac
    Gladys
    Gil Scot
    Al green
    Sly
    Little Richard
    Sharon Jones
    and others..

It would be little vignettes of interviews with performances thrown in.
Kind of like the Blues Brothers movie without all the sappy comedy and bad acting thrown in. I'd co-direct with Fernando meirelles, and it would be a poignant reflection of music as a whole.

I know this could be done, but nobody would approach doing this the right way. It would need to be gritty moving and beautifully shot.

Not just some 20/20 puff piece.

Squad Of Ninjas: The Ninja Warrior All-Stars

I would love to see Makoto Nagano and Katsumi Yamada get some acting work.

    That'd be bad.

Yep, something like that, but not necessarily a straight concert video with Richard pryor sequences thrown in.

This would be more documentary style actually getting the soul artists to speak. No gossip or bullshit, just some authentic performances.

Something that can connect to these musicians on a real level, and then also in full on Alex ross legendary performance mode.

there was no sappy comedy and no (unintentionally) bad acting in the Blues Brothers. you must be thinking of the "sequel" with John Goodman. the Blues Brothers is the ultimate movie.

Yeah, seriously, Parker - for a "film guy" your tastes and
opinions are continually exposed as more than just a little

You talking about me? I'm no film guy. I'm a lowly songwriter.

I love movies, and I do love John Landis movies. Though when I think of the Blues Brother movie I think lame 80's comedy.

    Stripper: Monica Belucci

Actually if you had a movie where it was just two hours of Monica wearing a clingy, low-cut evening gown and walking around a lot, I could get with that. I might actually put it on my "desert island" list.
