dude are you fuckin' kidding me?? you are hands down one of the most talented people on this board. Make a damn album already!
i love the wacky/lo-fi out-of-tune sound of it, definatly
keep on ako, lots of people gonna flip on this.
loooove that drum sound!
Dude's definitely lordin' it!
Are you gonna get your friends girlfriend to do some chinese vocals for other tracks?
Peter Quistgards unite!
the hell you can't! this is fresh! more please!!!
dude i might take you up on that. anybody know where i can get a vibraphone for less than like......$100? hahahaha
glad you dudes are feeling this. definitely motivating. probably gonna do more work tonight. i'll post more soon probably.....or just let it pile up and release an album or something.
i was gonna flat out say no way, but that might actually be a decent idea. we'll see.
is it even a vibraphone they used?
anyway, sounds really really fresh. if you are searching for a label, holler back haha ;-)
any other tracks availbale on vinyl besides the melting pot ones i know?
i think im a better drummer than you though
ok
AKO I am beyond impressed.
impressive to say the least.
The Mack is just jelous cuz he's still in special ed, you're on to your PHD.
far better than the OG for sure
you're definitely a better asshole. why don't you post something and let us decide.
yep, completely self-taught just by listening. i was only playing drums twice a week at the MOST for a while, but now that winter has settled in and my drums arent constantly in my trunk, im practicing pretty regularly now. i have no real practice plan, i just play because it feels good...but if i hear something on a record that i cant do, i'll focus on figuring that out for a little bit.
funk is the most fun and natural style for me, so i focus on that, but i do dabble in other styles too. i just love drumming.
occasionally i'll become part of a band or something that isnt really my style, and requires me to learn something new or start playing in a different style.. its a real help because it basically forces you to explore something you normally wouldnt just start practicing, or maybe you werent even aware of in the first place.
my weakness? i can barely do triplets...not fast anyway. then again ive never devoted more than like 2 seconds to learning them, and i probably do them "wrong" just like lots of the other stuff ive learned by ear.
