    I mean, you gotta be REALLLLLY talented to get away with this type of performance. I mean you gotta be like Hendrix talented. I just don't think this girl has enough in the bank to be pulling this schitt. Maybe if she had been doing it (and doing it well) for 5-6 yrs before these types of meltdowns, with maybe 2-3 solid albums in the bank. But really, what is ol' girl -- one album deep or something? I really don't think she gets a pass for this.

    As a backup singer, what do you do in this situation? Stick to the words as written, highlighting the fact that she is totaly fucked up, or just kinda mumble along? I would definitly just start "shabba dee oooh do iiiii"ing like a motherfucker.

    Wow. I have been knee-walking, semi-blackout drunk onstage, but she is really taking things to a whole other level there. At least I could turn down and blend in with the rest of the band.

    Man I'm not gonna watch the whole thing to see where she "really" f's up, but I gather she is ripped and the lyrics are unintelegable? So what, that's her thing..she hits the notes ok in the first 30 seconds...I can't even understand her on the god damn record...who cares? really? you guys do?

    No one thinks that this is an ACT and that the unintelligible lyrics are part of it. The band follows the "drunken" slowdowns. She hits the lyrics on the choruses. As such, I think the performance works, in that it's in character.
