Out in AZ we don't really have a fall season. but if I lived somewhere that did I suppose I would say this:

I want Al Green to cover "Autumn Sweater." At its heart, that's a soul song.

This is another good fall record:

    Hey,

Some of my favorite autumn joints are (in no particular order):

    -"Heavy Horses"-Jethro Tull.
    -"Year of the Cat"-Al Stewart.
    -co-sizzle "Astral Weeks"-Van Morrison.
    -"Blue"-Joni Mitchell.
-"Something Else"-Cannonball Adderley and Miles Davis.
    -"My Favorite Things"-John Coltrane.
-"The Tender Storm" and "Silver Cycles"-Eddie Harris.
-"Collaboration"-The Modern Jazz Quartet ft/ Laurindo Almeida (beautiful).
-"Music in My Mind" and "Fulfillingness First Finale"-Stevie Wonder.
    -"Something Else Again"-Richie Havens.

    Peace,

    Big Stacks from Kakalak

Every month or so I send out an email to all my friends with new music that I've been feeling. I thought I would share one with you all. This one is all rock and folk related. As you'll see, none of these tracks are rare, but that's not the point of the emails. This compilation will probably appeal to your lady friends more than the average strutter, but I'm sure some people will dig it. Here's a track list.

Ha! My first time to visit the UK (1990) was in the winter, and I was visiting Warwick Castle and it was early in the AM and the fog had frozen (that was strange, I had never seen frozen fog before). So Everything was cast in frost, it was like real life was in soft focus...so the outside just looked "70s", if that makes any sense..so I was walkin around the dungeon of the castle with that Sabbath LP on my headphones...corny yes, but that is the perfect place to listen to that LP...it was

I've been reading the Alan Lomax book "the land where blues began" and this just did it for me today.

"Music in My Mind" -Stevie Wonder.

Superwoman (Where Were You When I Needed You) is almost the exact definition of what an autumn song is to me.

For me Autumn is all about Jazz and sad soul songs such as

Charles Earland - Leaving This Planet
Montclairs - Dreaming Out Of Season
    Rotary Connection - Songs
Babs and Ernie - Prelude To
Alice Coltrane - Journey In Satchidananda
Ramsey Lewis - Mother Nature's Son

Also, I would say Forever Changes but that'd be cheating as it basically fits any time of year.

I really would like to hear Archie Whitewater's
Cross Country right now. Fits in with the season.
