Me in Sao Paulo two weeks ago. Carlinhos at Disco 7 set up a DJ set for me (my Brazilian debut!) at a weekly soul party. I was the third DJ to play out of four. Between each DJ they introduced us to the crowd. This is my intro. The guy smiling behind me in the leather jacket is Moog Man looking like a proud dad. My set went well. The only parameters they gave me was that it had to be "black music," so I played a set of funk 45's all of which I had found in Sao Paulo. Black Heat, The Counts, GC Cameron, Beginning of the End, etc. The only Brazilian track I played was a Tony Bizarro track that I closed with. Much happiness.

The other dude is a homeboy from grade school who I see rarely, and was in town for Orange and White Prom. He won the best dressed award. Now he works in an orphanage in India.
