  • Harrell Singers- There is a Land

Posted this in the gospel thread that I started and went nowhere this week.

Monday night. Can't sleep. Get up. Reading, checking these sites, etc. Went to the Fryer board to read up on some 4-5s, and stumbled upon this mix Beaver made.

    H.oly. Sh.it.

Great downtempo gospel and soul...Perfect for a restless late night as Winter and Spring duke it out, and spring is losing.

This was the opening track. So fucking good. Its definitely been the song of my week.

in light of the "al green chopped and screwed" thread and a subsequent phone conversation relating to both that thread and a recent personal experience involving the consumption of certain painkillers in conjunction with listening to a particular neil young album at minus 8 on the turntable...

    http://www.divshare.com/download/355737-b87

the question is, does anyone know where this one came from? is this off a mix? is there more?

we're still missing a melted butter graemlin for things like this. i would make one if i knew how

just thought I'd bring this thread back in motion, so here's a small contribution:

Fever Tree - ninety nine and a half[/b]

    Abstract Truth - Moving Away[/b]
(mellow'd-out psych tune which reminds me a lot of a 'Battered Ornaments' track covered at 'soul-sides' a while back)

and last but not least, one of my all-time classic joints:
