    I don't use MSN ... but did you install the OS X 10.4.9 update? Could be the source of any new problems that pop up.

    Hopefully you can find a quick fix ... but, if you don't and assuming it is the update, you may want to wait a week or so and download and install the update again. I've noticed that Apple will sometimes fix problems in their updates (without publicly admitting anything) and just replace the download. So, if a bunch of people complain about problems with their MSN, Apple may "silently" fix the update.
