TONO BUNGAY.i recently bought a repress of Ultra White Violet Light by Charles Curtis.it's some face-melting drones of the LaMonte Young school.the record arrived yesterday along with two extra records,an LP by some ham-fisted post-rock bandand this 10"-you can't fade that.the record label? Squealer Music. thanks. p.s. i wasn't even around for the original Tono Bungay jokes around here,i'm not sure what sparked them all,but i can surely imagine.

it was an H.G. Wells novel,
but somehow i don't think the jokes
have anything to do with science fiction.

I actually bought the book a month ago, I saw it for $1 and couldn't resist after seeing it on here all the time...it appears to be about a London "Snake Oil" seller, although I don't know if that has anything to do with the OG Strut usage...

I'm guessing it's funny because it has the word "gay" in it...?

People really seem to like that word around here. Especially as an adjective.
