I just got back from El Paso, TX. I got to spend a couple hours digging while my wife spent time with one of her old friends for lunch. Found these for 50 cents a piece.

  • You will dig this!!! Nice mix of styles.

Do you know if this is the original french press? I also have a french press with what appears to be an enormous brain on a red background. I'm not a big european head so I don't know philips euro pressings or anything.

I believe that is the Frech Press, the OG is the Brain cover, then there is a Canadian verion on Fontana.

Really amazing album, and much slept on. Funky, psych-moves, and afro-latin goodness.

I really played that LP for a while. I've got MP3's if headz want to know the deal.

Georgia State University Jazz Band does a decent "Over the Rainbow", too. Bought it for the novelty factor mostly, weird finding an american school band record with a written dedication to a guy named Clas. One of the players recommend Stockholm for a vacation, so now you know...

  • digging has been good to me lately...i came into a fantastic disco dj collection, i've been ebaying a bunch of it but here are some keepers...for now anyway:

this last one is a sick and relatively unknown nyc boogie tune...if anybody knows this and can shed any light i'm all ears.

satin dream is a rare lonnie johnson production...he worked with patrick adams on the scorpigem label...really dope tune.

    some south american goodness
