Got it in trade for some things down there. Picked up a couple Brazilian lp's, one was Toquinho e Vinicius, nice lp. Unfortunately I was about an hour late on some hotter things.

I'll give you a shout in a bit.

My unemployable booty is listening to Morton Subotnick's "Until Spring." Its just pulses and oscillations and it is really starting to freak me out.

    Mark Murphy-Sings lp

  • Keller Williams - Stage - Live acoustic guitar/sampling/one man band-ish guy popular with the patchouli set. Very cool though. Reminds me a little of Michael Hedges.

    Just listening back to a little mix I did for a work colleague as a birthday present. Right now, Stevie Wonder's "Light My Fire" is fading out into "Nowhere To Run" by Laura Nyro & Labelle. Though I say so myself, it ain't bad. Here's the tracklisting - raers conspicuous by their absence;

    Intro (Michael Bloomfield on music)
Gladys Knight & The Pips - I Heard It Through The Grapevine
Ella Fitzgerald - Sunshine Of Your Love
Patti Drew - Hard To Handle
Ike & Tina Turner - Funkier Than A Mosquita's Tweeter
Stevie Wonder - Light My Fire
Laura Nyro & Labelle - Nowhere To Run
Joe Simon - Drowning In A Sea Of Love
Christine McVie - And That's Saying A Lot
Lyn Christopher - Take Me With You
    Bobbie Gentry - Fancy
Emmylou Harris - Queen Of The Silver Dollar
Bob Dylan - Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You
Joni Mitchell - A Case Of You (live)
The Pointer Sisters - Yes We Can Can
The O'Jays - For The Love Of Money
Joe Cocker - Woman To Woman
    Freda Payne - Unhooked Generation
    The Impressions - We're A Winner
Nina Simone - To Love Somebody
Roberta Flack - No Tears In The End
Big Maybelle - Oh Lord, What Are You Doing To Me

Yeah, this is a very nice album. Didn't know it was getting reissued. Do you know if there is going to be anything extra on the reish?

    Koko Taylor - Basic Soul

before that Ray Sylvester Orch. - Sealed With A Kiss

  • Johnny Cash (not by choice). I know there's a lot of country heads on this board and I've given this kind of stuff a lot of chances over the years, but damnit, this shit is just miserable sounding!

  • I'm listening to Robbo Ranx Dancehall Splurt on BBC Radio right now and he just bigged up Ital Selection HiFi.

Add that to the birthday cake that was just served here in my office and I'm havin' an okay Monday.
