madden and harris and flower travellin band came in the mail. m&h is a repress, but the og is way out of my price range and i'll probably never stumble across one in the dollar bin. silhouettes, believe it or not was a freebie.

chuck bernard - bessie girl/love can slip away (zodiac)

I love this 2-sider. Two incredible tracks.

Pharoah Sanders - Deaf, Dumb & Blind

One of my favorite Sanders recordings.

...and that "Bring Back Peace To The World" is a beautiful spin. Strictly for DJing purposes, I wish it was a 12", though; you have to start it 1/3 of the way through and fade in unless it's the first song of the night.

    Me:

    LPs:
    Mirettes - Whirlpool
    J.K. & Co. - Suddenly One Summer
Kathy Smith - Some Songs I've Saved
The Little Boy Blues - In The Woodland Of Weir

    45s:
The Biblical Aires - Nearer To Jesus / Religion
(I have the LP, which I like a bunch. This Is the first I've seen this 45.)
Trumpets of Zion - Weak Situation / Dry Bones
Albert King - Cold Feet / You Sure Drive A Hard Bargain (nice drums)
Dyke & The Blazers - You Are My Sunshine / City Dump
(Almost their complete collection. I'm glad these are so cheap.)
    Ed Robinson - Hey Blackman 1 / 2
The Kingsmen - Get Out Of My Life Woman / Since You Been Gone (raw)

    CDs:
Linda Perhacs - Parallelograms (the version with the extra tracks)
Susan Christie - Paint A Lady
Chris Harwood - Nice To Meet Miss Christine

This Geater Davis is the shit (House of Orange,1971)... I'm feelin it.

This was under debate on Waxidermy. Although, I believe the consensus was
    Yes. I'm not feeling that.

    Nice cover though.

I can see where people could hate on it. I'm feeling it so far though. I'll let it settle in and see how I feel in a week though.

There is one track on that Greater Davis that is beyond words. Fuk the hatters.

well, I was under the impression that even unsealed his records went for close to a thousand. Anyhow, it's a serious holy grail.

here's a review and clip of his other lp

I guess I was mistaken about this one being so valuable. Iron Curtain Innocence goes for a G, but this one is only a few hundred. My bad. Still, an amazing $2 find, man.

  • trash picked two copies of this, a couple hundred more 45s that range from crap to ok stuff, and someones metal collection in brooklyn
